Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics Only (Specialty) in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized pediatric surgical care within the operating room, including procedures such as pediatric ENT surgeries, thoracic surgeries, and trauma response. The role demands a skilled RN with pediatric OR experience to support a comprehensive, Magnet-designated pediatric hospital with a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: WI RN or compact RN license, BLS certification (AHA only), 2 years of inpatient acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in a pediatric or operating room setting, pediatric trauma, ENT, or thoracic surgery experience, Pediatric OR experience, and experience with procedures including ENT surgery, thoracotomy, and trauma.
• Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 17:30, Monday through Friday, with weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities.
• Additional Information: Must pass strict telemetry testing with two attempts for adult and pediatric lethal rhythms identification, with a passing score of 80% or higher. Previous critical care experience in pediatric surgery or OR is preferred. Floating as needed is required, with a local rule of 50 miles from the facility.
• Submittal Requirements: Candidates must meet minimum experience requirements; reference removal is required; pass/fail testing with strict criteria, including telemetry exams, is mandated prior to start.
