Job Summary

Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Days 36 hours/week Starting 09/07/2026. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population on a 25-bed unit, with an emphasis on stroke, post-operative, and critical care patients. The role requires delivering quality patient care within a fast-paced hospital setting, adhering to safety and clinical standards.

Job Details

• Position involves working on a 25-bed Medical Surgical unit with private and semi-private rooms.
• Nursing ratio is 5:1 during day shifts, with occasional patient care responsibilities including stroke patients (non-TPA), post-operative patients, and patients requiring wound care, dialysis, COPD exacerbations, and other acute conditions.
• Required Qualifications include current Illinois Registered Nurse license, CPR/BLS Card, ACLS, and at least 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Experience with stroke certification and the ability to provide care for a variety of acute and post-surgical patients is preferred.
• Must possess current licenses and certifications listed, including CPR/BLS and ACLS.
• Submit premium credentials and certifications at the time of application to be considered.
• Additional clinical certifications such as NIHSS and specific unit-related credentials are highly desirable.
