Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado Springs. This position involves providing specialized patient care to critically ill children within a dynamic hospital environment. The RN will deliver high-quality, compassionate care while adhering to safety and clinical standards.
Job Details
- Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Minimum Qualifications: BSN required; minimum 2 years of PICU experience required; previous travel experience preferred; active Colorado RN License or Compact RN License; BLS and PALS certifications
- Additional Experience: Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments preferred
- Float: Float rotation may be required, including NICU, Pediatric Medical-Surgical, and Emergency Department units
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call Requirement: No on-call; can be canceled every 4 weeks
- Must be available to work 2 of the 3 holidays within the assignment period
- Orientation: General hospital orientation (1 day), PICU unit orientation (6 hours), Med-Surg orientation (6 hours), NICU orientation
- Documentation System: Peds Connect (EPIC)
- Important Requirements: 50-Mile Radius Rule applies; previous travel experience required; must be available to work during specified blackout dates and holidays, including working 2 of 3 holidays.
