Job Summary
The healthcare organization is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill patients with complex medical conditions, including ventilator support, post-cardiac procedures, sepsis, ECMO, and stroke management. The position requires a dedicated critical care professional to deliver high-quality patient care within a dynamic ICU environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: ICU RN with experience in caring for ventilator-dependent patients, post-cardiac procedures, sepsis, ECMO, PEs, thrombectomy, and stroke patients (not hemorrhagic).
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI). For this role, a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required.
- Schedule: Nights shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Experience with patients requiring ventilators, tracheostomies, tube feeds, chest tubes, titrating drips, and DKA management is essential. Support within the department includes 1 CNA/PCA per 8-12 patients, dedicated respiratory therapy 24/7, on-site midlevel ICU providers, and ICU-specific technology and equipment including CRRT, art sun, balloon pump, EKOS, Prenumbra, and Pacer. Orientation involves 1-2 shifts in the unit, and clinical rotations may include floating within scope of practice to PCU, MedSurg, and Telemetry. Scrub color is Galaxy Blue, and parking is free.
