Job Summary
Pediatric Medical Floor RN Traveler in Denver, Colorado. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to high-acuity pediatric patients with pulmonary needs, including ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and chest tube management. The role requires strong pediatric pulmonary experience, with an emphasis on ventilator-dependent populations, and involves self-scheduling with rotating shifts.
Job Details
- Position Description: Med Surg RN Traveler in Pediatric Medical Floor setting, focusing on pediatric pulmonary patients.
- Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Registered Nurse experience, 2 years of Medical/Pulmonary Pediatrics experience, current licensure as a Registered Nurse, BLS and PALS certifications, BSN preferred.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Strong pediatric pulmonary experience is required. Candidates must be comfortable caring for high-acuity trach, vent, and chest tube patients. Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should be prepared to discuss pulmonary and ventilator management during the interview.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the cohort as outlined by the organization.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be available to work 2 of the 3 designated holidays, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Seasonal influenza vaccination is required, with medical and religious exemptions accepted.
