Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) for a rural healthcare provider location. This position involves supporting a fast-paced OR through a 13-week assignment, with a focus on surgical cases including Cesarean sections, endovascular procedures, and cataract surgeries. The RN will assist with patient care, surgical support, and call coverage, ensuring timely completion of cases.

Job Details

• Position Description: Travel RN OR. This role requires providing perioperative patient care in a small rural hospital with 7 operating rooms, including a Cesarean section suite and an endovascular suite. The RN will support various service lines such as General, Urology, ENT, Podiatry, Gynecology, and Orthopedics (approximately 4 days weekly).
• Required Qualifications: Certifications, relevant education requirements, at least 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting, and ability to work in the specified location.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts (Monday through Friday), with flexibility required for staying beyond scheduled hours due to case duration, and call responsibilities a few nights per week plus every 4th or 5th weekend.
• Additional Information: Caseload includes approximately 1-2 Cesarean sections, 6 endovascular cases, and 20-25 cataract surgeries weekly. The facility predominantly uses paper charting with some Electronic Medical Record (EMR) entries in Cerner. Flexibility to start early (around 6:15 or 6:30 AM) is necessary for big cases.
