Job Summary
Tallahassee Florida - Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse (RN) This position involves providing patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit within a healthcare facility. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing services, including inpatient chemotherapy administration, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during night shifts.
Job Details
- Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Education/Experience Requirements: RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience; no specific experience required for oncology or Medical Surgical specialties.
- Location: Tallahassee, Florida.
- Shift: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, with every other weekend as needed.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves performing procedures on the unit, including inpatient chemotherapy administered by core nursing staff with Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemotherapy training. Hourly rounds on day shift and post-9 PM rounds are expected. The facility is recognized for technological advancements and staff experience, offering a dynamic work environment.
