Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Specialist in the specialized surgical environment, working at a healthcare facility within a 60-mile radius. This position involves supporting complex cardiac procedures, including open heart surgery, in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and surgical success.

- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours

- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (AHA), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA; Education and minimum of 2 years of experience in Operating Room, Open Heart specialty.
- Responsibilities include working in a high-volume CVOR setting with an average of 30 cases per day, supporting cardiac, vascular, thoracic, neuro, spine, robotics, orthopedic, and general surgeries.
- Schedule involves weekday shifts from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm with call responsibilities once per week, one weekend per month, and potential floating to general Operating Room within Zone 3.
- Call response time expected within 30 minutes, with a floating requirement to general OR as needed.
- Charting system used is EPIC.
- Removal of facility or employer names; all referenced as "the organization" or "the healthcare provider."
