Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility located in Madison, WI. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care on a fast-paced medical unit specializing in general internal medicine and infectious diseases. The position requires clinical expertise in telemetry and acute care nursing.
Job Details
- Location: Madison, WI
- Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts from 0700-1930 and 1900-0730, with every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed.
- Shift Hours and Minimum Hours Per Week: 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin (WI) registered nurse (RN) license or compact RN license, EPIC charting experience, BLS certification, minimum two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty submitted for, and must pass a telemetry test prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation, PPE and isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, titration of insulin drips, and use of rapid response and code teams.
- Additional Information: The unit is 28 beds focused on high-quality patient care, including infectious disease management, and offers opportunities for clinical education and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years and meet strict pass criteria on telemetry testing.
- Submittal Requirements: Candidates must meet all qualifications and successfully pass telemetry exam with two attempts, with scoring criteria clearly specified.
