Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) - Charlotte, NC. This is a night-shift Registered Nurse (RN) position with the healthcare organization. The role involves providing acute patient care in a busy hospital setting, focusing on adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF exacerbation, and others. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team at a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital.

Job Details

Position Description: RN - Medical Surgical and Telemetry
Location: Charlotte, NC
Required Qualifications: RN license with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); graduate of an accredited nursing program; minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg and Telemetry RN experience (Resource Team); valid drivers license and insurance as applicable.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, medication gtt management including cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF.
Additional Information: The role involves monitoring telemetry, providing direct patient care, and supporting department functions including vitals, hygiene care, and patient needs. The unit functions as a close-knit team, functioning as a family, with support services including secretaries, charge nurses, phlebotomy, resource nurses, and hospitalists. Floating to all units within the designated region may be required according to hospital needs.
