Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse Location: Not Specified. This hospital-based position involves providing competent, patient-centered nursing care under professional standards. The role requires coordinating patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting, with a focus on complex patient needs and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing, or BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC).
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: Provides care for patients with complex problems, performs bedside point of care testing, and participates in performance improvement and cost-effective care initiatives. Demonstrates competence in assessing, planning, and prioritizing care for critically ill patients, and collaborates with families to support discharge planning. Maintains adherence to healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
