Job Summary
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - Open Heart for a specialized Registered Nurse is based in a prominent children's hospital. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to provide exceptional nursing care tailored to pediatric patients with complex cardiac needs. The position offers opportunities to work across multiple campuses and in various intensive care settings, including NICU and PICU.

Job Details

  • Position: RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Open Heart
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ (Multiple campuses including Main, Arrowhead, Avondale, and East Valley)
  • Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, with hours totaling 12 per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Experience: 2 years experience as an RN in pediatric CVICU; experience at a hospital with a Level III or IV NICU strongly preferred; experience floating to NICU and PICU; childrens hospital experience preferred
  • Education Requirements: Associate or bachelors degree in nursing
  • Licensure: Current State of Arizona RN license or multistate privileges from another state, with ability to establish licensure in Arizona prior to start date
  • Certifications: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association; current PALS certification from the American Heart Association; NRP certification preferred
  • Additional Information: This assignment may float between four campuses and requires flexibility for working days and nights. COVID-19 vaccination is recommended; flu vaccination from October through April is required, with exemptions handled per protocol. No float rotation required.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate the ability to deliver evidence-based nursing and patient care in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
