Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within the operating suite, supporting a high-volume surgical environment across multiple specialties including general, gynecology, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, orthopedic, spine, ENT, and cardiothoracic cases. The role emphasizes clinical expertise, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during various shifts.

Job Details

Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Education Requirements: Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois.
Experience Requirement: At least 3 years of OR nursing experience.
Location Requirements: Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that an application has been initiated.
Schedule: Rotating shifts including 8-hour shifts with start times at 0645, 1045, and 1445, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Current BLS certification, valid Illinois RN licensure or application confirmation, minimum of 3 years OR nursing experience, and active license verification.
Additional Information: Unit notes specify a focus on various surgical specialties, with an emphasis on scrubbing experience, and the need to work within a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. Orientation consists of one week.
