Job Summary
Telemedicine Nurse Neuro Telemetry, a healthcare professional role located in the neuro telemetry unit, providing specialized nursing care for patients with neurological conditions. The position involves working a night shift schedule in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment, focused on patient stabilization and recovery.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The nurse will care for trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psych issues, and brain tumor cases. Responsibilities include titrating medications such as Heparin, Amio, and Cardizem, and interpreting EKGs. This role requires proficiency in sterile techniques, bed-side reporting, and managing ventilators and central monitoring systems.
  • Required Qualifications: Current ACLS and BLS certifications, minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, neuro experience highly preferred, valid license to submit, willing to wait for license approval, for neuro telemetry specialty.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period, and holidays based on unit coverage.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a Level 1 Trauma setting with a 50-mile radius rule, and there are specific expectations for sterile skills and IV titration. Simulations for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes are part of orientation, with essential sterile technique competency.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, with two attempts allowed. Clear understanding of sterile fields is critical for success in this role.
