Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Thornton, CO. This temporary assignment involves providing specialized care in a Level 3 and Level 4 NICU setting, supporting neonatal patients with complex needs. The role requires dedication to delivering high-quality, family-centered care for neonatal patients on the night shift.

Job Details

  • Location: Thornton, CO
  • Unit Information: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 6 beds, staffed by a team of 15 healthcare professionals, including NICU RNs and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) working 24/7 with neonatologists on call.
  • Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year NICU RN acute care experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Level 2 NICU experience and infant resuscitation experience are required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level 3 or Level 4 NICU, and familiarity with Eat Sleep Console for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, as well as admission and initial stabilization experience in delivery rooms.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with umbilical line placement, intubation, lumbar puncture, and circumcision, along with providing critical care to neonatal patients.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates are expected to possess the listed skills and certifications to be considered.
