Description

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Illinois This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within an acute care facility. The role includes supporting multiple surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with all clinical standards and protocols.

Job Details

Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and at least 3 years of OR nursing experience are mandatory.
Schedule: Rotating shifts with 8-hour shifts, various start times (0645, 1045, 1445), totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Certifications: BLS (AHA); Illinois licensed RN or active license application in process.
Experience or 'Must have' skills: At least 3 years of OR nursing experience; scrubbing required.
Responsibilities include assisting in a variety of specialties such as general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic surgeries.
The unit operates with a charge nurse, surgical techs, and CNEs, with EMR system Epic utilized for charting.
Shifts include day/mid shifts with consideration for 12-hour shifts, weeknight, weekend, and holiday call shifts.
No floating requirements.
Scrubs are provided, and casual professional dress is required to enter and leave the facility.
Unit or department-specific orientation during the first week.
