Description

Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) nursing position available in a large acute care facility located in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role involves managing telemetry patients, including post-operative transplant and orthopedic cases, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence during night shifts. This opportunity is suited for qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) prepared to deliver high-quality care on a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks. Holidays are covered based on unit rotation.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum two years of acute care or telemetry experience; proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system; ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (with two attempts); own transportation; compliance with unit-specific orientation requirements (2 shifts).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with transplant, Whipple procedures, spine, and orthopedic patient care; familiarity with sterile techniques, lifts, restraints, and wound care.
  • Additional Information: First to float to other units such as MS/Telemetry or surgical units; float rotation may be required; scrub attire: navy; bedside RN roles do not include charge responsibilities; large transplant and Whipple caseloads; hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment; certs: BLS, ACLS; non-BSN required; willingness to wait for license processing; trauma level 1 care setting.
