Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Nurse in a hospital setting. This position involves circulating complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgery cases, including procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), aortic valve replacements (AVR), mitral valve replacements (MVR), ascending aortic aneurysm repairs, and other advanced cardiac surgeries. The role requires providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting surgical teams during procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 0 years of experience is acceptable.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventricular assist devices, robotic thoracotomy procedures.
  • Scope of Role: Able to circulate complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, ascending aortic aneurysms, aortic root replacements, abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs, femoral-popliteal bypass, carotid endarterectomy, arteriovenous (AV) fistula, Impella placement, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) cases, thoracotomy, and robotic thoracotomy.
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1.
  • Number of Beds in Unit: 4 operating room suites.
  • Scrubs: Provided by hospital.
  • Additional Information: Travelers must attach required licenses and certifications; submissions missing these will be rejected. Drivers licenses and permanent home addresses must be included and match ID. Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
