Job Summary
Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse - Recovery Room Pediatrics Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves independent peri-anesthetic management of complex surgical and procedural pediatric patients in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center. The position requires highly skilled care for a varied case load, supporting a healing environment tailored for pediatric patients and their families.
Job Details
- Position: Pediatric PACU Nurse
- Specialty: Recovery Room Pediatrics
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Pediatric PACU experience of at least 2 years, Epic charting experience, Wisconsin RN license (or compact RN license with submission), BLS, PALS certification, ability to pass telemetry test, and valid license to practice in Wisconsin.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge experience, community hospital experience, trauma level I and II experience, travel experience, patient ratio experience, charting system experience.
- Additional Information: This role includes independent peri-anesthetic management of pediatric patients aged neonates to adolescents, handling complex surgical cases including neuro, ortho, ENT, plastics, Urology, and general surgery, utilizing advanced monitoring and airway assessment techniques. Travelers must pass strict pass/fail testing for telemetry interpretation with two attempts allowed.
