Job Summary
The organization is seeking an experienced ICU Trauma Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated team in a Level One Trauma Center. This role involves providing compassionate, expert care for critically ill adult patients within a fast-paced, 24-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Job Details
- Location: Madison, WI
- Shift Schedule: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend and some holidays. Possible 4x12-hour shifts if interested.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license, at least 2 years of ICU experience, Epic electronic medical record experience, BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, and pass Telemetry test prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial line management, chest tube procedures, ventilator management, emergency medications, and complex patient care in ICU settings.
- Responsibilities: Care for surgical, medical, and trauma patients; manage advanced life support therapies including ECMO and continuous dialysis; maintain patient safety and quality outcomes in a Level One Trauma Center.
- Additional Information: Successful candidates will need to pass specific telemetry testing with strict criteria. The role requires float capability as needed, with a local rule of 50 miles from the facility. Minimum inpatient ICU experience of two years within the last three years in the specialty is required.
