Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in a high-volume healthcare setting. This role involves providing comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and newborn. The position requires applying specialized knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care aligned with organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, zero years of experience required with an emphasis on demonstrated clinical skills in labor and delivery.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher, professional certification related to Maternal-Newborn or Women's Health nursing.
- Additional Information: The role involves assessing patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs during labor and postpartum phases. Responsibilities include formulation and execution of care plans, delegation, documentation, and patient education. The nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, interpret diagnostics, and participate in quality improvement activities to support optimal patient outcomes.
