Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients in a hospital setting, utilizing telemetry monitoring. The role requires delivering specialized nursing care on night shifts, including weekend and holiday rotations based on operational needs.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, two years of acute care experience within the last three years, and experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must have at least two years of recent acute care experience in the specialty, Epic system experience, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and valid licensure in Wisconsin or a compact state.
- Additional Information: The position requires passing a telemetry test prior to start, including adult and pediatric cardiac rhythm identification with strict scoring criteria. The assignment spans from 10/26/2026 to 02/01/2027, with two weekend shifts per contract period. Travelers may need to float as needed and must be located more than 50 miles from the facility.
- Submittal Requirements: All candidates must pass a telemetry exam with a minimum score and may need to submit additional certification documentation if failing after multiple attempts.
