Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a healthcare facility located within a hospital environment. This role involves providing quality patient care by following individualized care plans, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with an emphasis on safety, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Job Details:

Shift Time: Nights
Shift Hours: 12 hours
Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
Start Date: 10/05/2026
End Date: 01/04/2027
Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only)
Education/Experience: Basic nursing education; minimum of 0 years experience required; two (2) years bedside clinical experience is highly desired
Responsibilities: Performs initial nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission; develops and implements individualized care plans; collaborates with interdisciplinary team; documents patient data and responses accurately; participates in patient rehabilitation programs; initiates discharge planning and patient teaching; communicates changes in patient status; supervises ancillary staff; maintains safety and infection control standards; participates in team building activities; manages supplies and equipment; may assume charge responsibility after orientation; engages in ongoing professional development.
Behavior Characteristics: Must demonstrate problem-solving, organizational skills, teamwork, and professionalism.
Additional Information: The candidate should possess the skills and competencies necessary for the specific population served and follow hospital and nursing policies regarding safety, appearance, and attendance.
