Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse Location: Lima, Ohio. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Labor and Delivery department of the healthcare provider. The role requires assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care, with an emphasis on maternal and neonatal health, utilizing age-specific criteria.

Job Details

• Position Description: Functioning within the healthcare providers mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes.
• Required Qualifications: 2+ years of OB (Obstetrics) experience, completion of 1 travel assignment, ability to function as a first assist and scrub OB (highly preferred), active Ohio/OH or Compact RN license, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), S.T.A.B.L.E., and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certifications, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, minimum 2 years of experience, and work history skills checklist pertinent to OBGYN.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Submission requirements: Candidates must submit documentation confirming active certifications and licenses as specified.
• Additional Information: Must have completed at least one travel assignment and demonstrated the ability to operate as a first assist and scrub OB nurse. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet department needs.
