Description
Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at a level 3 NICU unit. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates, utilizing advanced ventilators, high frequency jet ventilators, high frequency oscillators, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and nitric oxide therapies. The position is scheduled for night shifts and requires a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience. The assignment begins on October 12, 2026, and concludes on January 10, 2027.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 2 years of neonatal ICU experience, certifications including Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience is not required.
- Additional Information: The NICU cares for all aspects of neonatal care, excluding surgical and cardiac cases. The unit has 41 beds consisting of single, double, and triple rooms. Nurse to patient ratios are typically 1:2 or 1:1, with the possibility of tripling in low acuity cases. The unit does not require call responsibilities. Practical skills expected include caring for critically ill neonates in a high-acuity environment.
