Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurse (RN) position in a hospital setting. The role involves providing specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. The assignment is scheduled to start on October 26, 2026, and conclude on January 25, 2027, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals.
Job Details:
- Location: The healthcare providers facility located in Denver, Colorado
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license with current pediatric intensive care experience of at least 1 year; BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Postoperative cardiac care experience; venous puncture skills
- Unit Information:
- Number of beds: 20
- Staff: 51 team members including bedside RNs and PCTs
- Patient ratios: 1:2 and 1:1
- Equipment used: Philip monitor, Alaris and MedFusion IV pumps
- EMR system: Meditech
- Typical Procedures: Conscious sedations, care of respiratory failure including endotracheal tube management and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), CT placement, central line maintenance and care
