Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Registered Nurse Location: Community Hospital. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within a 240-bed community hospital setting. The role includes managing patients with cardiac conditions, utilizing telemetry monitoring, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: PCU Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift schedule, with minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift: Nights.
• Certifications and Education Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). 2 years of experience required, including at least 5 years of patient ratio experience. Community Hospital experience preferred.
• Responsibilities: Managing patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, vascular and PVD conditions, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, GI bleed, and post-angiogram or cardiac cath patients. Performing IV therapy and phlebotomy, including central line and PICC line care. Interpreting ABGs and dysrhythmias, managing chest tubes, and using telemetry monitoring systems. Providing care for patients with invasive devices such as surgical drains and tracheostomies.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
• Additional Information: Floating between departments and units may be required. Certification in Sheath Removal and experience with Total Joint Replacements are preferred. No local candidates within 75 miles accepted; travel compliance includes working both Kansas and Missouri or possessing a compact license in hand upon submission. RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 7 days. Orientation includes 16 hours of training, and completion of EMR modules is mandatory before start.
