Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Puyallup, Washington. This role involves providing advanced patient care within a Level III Trauma Center, supporting a busy and fast-paced unit that handles a wide range of complex medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess essential ICU skills and flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs.
Job Details
- Position Description: Clinical interviewing experience preferred; day shift schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ICU license, current ACLS, BLS certifications; TNCC or ENA preferred.
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The assigned ICU manages acuity levels requiring cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilator management, invasive line management, and administration of IV medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, non-DKA insulin, and heparin. The clinician must demonstrate excellent communication and patient education skills. The role involves patient transport throughout the hospital, including emergency, radiology, and surgical units; transport duties are slower after 2300 hours. The unit supports within-scope floating and has two days of hospital orientation plus one day on the assigned unit.
