Job Details

• Position Description: Unit notes specify a focus on OR (Operating Room) procedures involving general, orthopedic, robotics, neuro, spine, urology, and ENT cases. Typical cases number approximately 30 per day.
• Required Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS (American Heart Association), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA; must have a DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies) license to submit; minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting.
• Schedule: Dayshift with an 12-hour shift, approximately 36 hours per week, from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, including call responsibilities totaling around 120 hours per contract. Call is self-scheduled between weekdays and weekends, with a response time of 30 minutes.
• Additional Information: There are no floating requirements; if needed, float within Zone 1 (including PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STMS). Scrubs are provided, and a one-week unit-specific orientation is required. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
