Job Summary
OR Technicians (Surgical Technicians/Operating Room Technicians) in the OR setting are needed for a 13-week assignment. The role involves assisting in the operating room by maintaining aseptic technique, preparing equipment and supplies, and supporting surgical procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing crucial support to surgical teams.

Job Details

Position: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Tech
Location: The organizations facility (must be 250 miles away from a trauma hospital)
Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Start Date: 09/29/2026
End Date: 12/29/2026
Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technicians responsible for aseptic technique in the operating room, setting up equipment, scrubbing, passing instruments, pulling cases, breaking down cases, and setting up the operating room for the following day. Availability for call on an assigned, scheduled basis as required by the unit's need.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the operating room environment, familiarity with surgical instrumentation and sterile supplies.
Additional Information: OR call rotation includes one first call and one second call from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. during the week, and one weekend day every other month. Shifts in the operating room are 8, 10, or 12 hours, depending on the need. Nurses can park in visitor parking and will need to enter on the North side, cross over to the south side, and take the elevator to the first floor.
Submission Requirements: Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate certification as a Surgical Technician and relevant operating room experience.
