Job Summary
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular Specialist in Fargo, ND. The role involves managing critically ill patients in a Level 1 trauma hospital, with responsibilities including titrating vasopressor drips, assisting with bedside procedures, and utilizing advanced monitoring and equipment. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment requiring critical care expertise.

Job Details

  • Position Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular
  • Location: Fargo, ND
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, every other weekend and holiday, with flexibility for self-scheduling within assigned days off
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ND or compact state RN license; minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience in a large, Level 1 trauma hospital (over 200 beds); experience titrating vasopressor drips; BLS and ACLS certifications from the AHA; NIHSS certification
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR); flexibility to float to various critical care departments including intermediate and ICU units
  • Additional Information:
    • Management of 1-3 critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting
    • Ability to independently care for critically ill neuro, cardiac, trauma, medical, and surgical patients
    • Proficiency in bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, line placement, and diagnostic tests
    • Use of advanced monitoring systems including Phillips Patient Monitoring and Avasure Patient Monitoring
    • Orientation includes 32 hours of training across multiple ICU units during the first week of the assignment
