Description
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: North Dakota
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, every other weekend and holiday required. Self-scheduling available with unit needs coordination.
Highlights:
- 32-bed critical care unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center
- 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio caring for critically ill neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients
- Comprehensive 32-hour orientation program including hospital, primary unit, and float unit training
- EPIC EMR system with advanced critical care technology including IABP, EVD, Impella, and Phillips monitoring systems
- Floating opportunities to critical care departments (ratios up to 4:1) and medical-surgical units as needed
- Professional development environment with charge and preceptor responsibilities
Requirements:
- Active RN license in North Dakota or Compact state
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience in a 200+ bed Level 1 Trauma hospital
- Charge nurse and/or preceptor experience required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification required
- Demonstrated experience titrating vasopressor drips (must be documented on resume)
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to independently manage critically ill patients and assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, and line placement
- Must reside more than 60 miles from facility location
