Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location unspecified. This position involves providing high-risk obstetric care in a busy labor and delivery unit. The RN will deliver exceptional patient care through all stages of labor, postpartum, and antepartum, supporting new mothers and their babies in a hospital setting.
Job Details
- Position Description: L&D RN needed for 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, working every third weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, minimum of 5 years experience in high-risk Labor and Delivery, OB experience, prior travel experience, and certifications including Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and fetal monitoring certification.
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit features 12 postpartum rooms, 4 swing/antepartum rooms, 5 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, and 2 operating rooms. Ratio expectations are 1:3 on labor and delivery and antepartum, and 1:6 for mother/baby couplets. The facility provides scrubs. Electronic medical records are maintained via Epic, and billing is managed through Med System: Pysis. Mandatory overtime may be required as part of the units staffing needs. The facility may assign personnel to different departments or units within a 30-mile radius based on clinical competence.
