Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse located in the region. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment at a Level IV Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke and STEMI receiving capabilities. The role requires collaborative teamwork to handle a diverse range of urgent medical situations.
Job Details
- Position Description: Emergency Room Nurse at a Level IV Trauma Center, responsible for managing acute patient care for various urgent health conditions including trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies.
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); 2 years minimum related experience; licensure applicable to the state; ability to work days shift, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia drips; previous ER experience in trauma, stroke, or high-acuity settings.
- Additional Information: The unit treats over 35 patients per day with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Nursing staff participate in self-scheduling including weekend and holiday shifts, with a minimum of six weekend shifts every six weeks. RN will perform ABGs, EKGs, troubleshoot vents, Cpap, BiPap, high flow devices, and draw labs. The ER operates with a 24/7 RT presence. Charting is completed in EPIC, and the facility allows self and block scheduling.
