Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) nursing position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing direct patient care in a highly functioning, family-oriented unit specialized in medical-surgical overflow and non-acute stroke patients. The position requires EPIC Electronic Medical Record experience and is scheduled for night shifts.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with Telemetry; location requirements not specified; no minimum years of experience requirement listed.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Providing patient care on a 32-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 or 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, including reading strips, validating Telemetry data, and managing titratable and set-rate drips such as insulin and pain medications.
- Certifications Required: BLS, NIHSS.
- Additional Information: The unit employs a highly supportive team environment with no return to office (RTO) restriction during the first week. Floating may be required; no specific scrub color or dress code applies beyond professional attire. Orientation includes additional unit-specific training.
