Description

Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a Level IV Trauma Center located within the organizations acute care facility. This role involves providing emergency nursing care for patients presenting with a variety of urgent and trauma-related conditions, including chest pain, injuries, and other acute illnesses, in a fast-paced ER environment.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience; active license to practice.
  • Experience or 'Must have' Skills: TNCC, NIHSS.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The ER handles approximately 35+ patients daily. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, and staff are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule. Full and part-time employees may be required to work holiday shifts. The ER features a separate triage area, trauma bays, and advanced equipment including Vents, Cpap, BiPap, and High Flow systems. Phlebotomy and lab work are performed by RNs or Phlebotomists.
