Job Summary
The Organization is seeking a Surgical Technician specializing in the Operating Room to support surgical procedures at a community hospital setting. This role involves preparing sterile fields, assisting surgeons during operations, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Job Details

• Position Description: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician OR Community hospital setting supporting orthopedic, bariatric, gynecology, general, urology, plastic surgery, and other specialties.
• Certifications & Education: High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or military training as a scrub technician; BLS Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience, familiarity with surgical tools, procedures, and equipment; knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology; ability to interpret data and instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); current valid state licensure if applicable.
• Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: On-call responsibilities include weekday overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts with a 20-minute response time. The role involves assisting in a variety of surgeries, maintaining sterile fields, performing clerical tasks related to patient records and supply inventory, and ensuring a safe, clean operating environment.
• Submittal Requirements: Candidates must be able to complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and submit all compliance documents 10 days prior to the start date.
