Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment. The role involves providing patient care in a mixed acuity unit with a focus on cardiac diagnoses, chest pain, PCI, and general medical conditions. The RN will deliver specialized care while utilizing advanced clinical skills and working within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  The PCU RN will provide clinical care to patients with cardiac and medical diagnoses, including chest pain and PCI. Responsibilities include IV starts, tube management (chest, JP drains, hemovacs), oral care, dressing changes, wound care, administering drips, and managing CIWA and COWS protocols. The unit has 30 beds, with patient ratios typically around 1:5 or 1:6.
• Required Qualifications:
  Licenses and certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; 1 year of relevant experience; must have current license and certifications.
• Schedule:
  Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience in cardiac or critical care environments preferred.
• Additional Information:
  Orientation includes one shift on the floor and facility-specific training. The unit supports within-scope floating to other mixed acuity units. Scrub color is Galaxy Blue, and parking is free.
