Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Labor and Delivery department, with a focus on maternal and newborn services. The role includes caring for postpartum patients, well baby newborns, and actively participating in labor and delivery procedures, including cesarean sections and couplet care.

Job Details

• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours, with a schedule minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and at least 2 years of experience in a similar setting. Prior travel experience in this specialty is also required.
• Responsibilities: Skilled in labor and delivery, circulating cesarean sections, postpartum care, caring for well baby newborns, and familiar with couplet care. Experience with scrubbing and assisting in cesarean sections is ideal but not mandatory.
• Schedule: Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a minimum of four weekend shifts per six-week schedule, including holidays such as Labor Day. The department may require working over 20 weeks postpartum, and taking care of post-op gynecology patients.
• Additional Information: Orientation dates are 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16, with shifts starting as soon as possible after orientation. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in maternal-child health and have prior travel experience.
