Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the operating room suite will provide patient care duties and perform unit support activities, specifically in surgical settings related to obstetrics and gynecology procedures. The role involves ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards while delivering high-quality care to patients.

Job Details

Position Description: Provides specific patient care duties and performs unit support activities in the operating room suite, with a focus on OB/GYN procedures. Ensures compliance with healthcare practices, policies, and regulatory requirements, including licensing, certification, and mandatory training. Demonstrates knowledge of procedures by anticipating needs, assisting with dressings, casting, and accurately managing surgical supplies. Reviews and updates surgeon preference cards and maintains proper count policies for instrument trays. Works additional shifts as needed and participates in departmental teaching.
Required Qualifications: Certification: Scrub Tech Certification preferred. BLS for Health Care providers required. Education: Minimum of high school education preferred. Experience: Minimum of three years as a scrub person in a hospital setting. Location Requirements: Not specified.
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Must have strong OB/GYN procedure experience, demonstrate problem-solving and teaching skills, and possess technical skills through on-the-job training.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
