Description

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility located within the state. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-acuity surgical environment, supporting a variety of surgical specialties including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic procedures. The position offers diverse shift options and requires at least three years of OR nursing experience.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association); Illinois RN licensure or confirmation of application process.
  • Education Requirements: Active Illinois RN license or proof of application initiation.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years in OR nursing.
  • Location Requirements: Illinois state licensure required.
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts with various start times, including 0645, 1045, 1445, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information:
    • Local rate applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles.
    • OSF call-off policy allows for 12 hours of call time every 13 weeks with no penalty.
    • Orientation hours are 12 hours, not billable.
    • Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels.
    • No floating requirements.
    • Scrubs are provided; casual professional dress required to enter/leave the facility.
    • Shift rotations include nights, evenings, days, and call shifts.
    • On-call responsibilities approximately once per week or every 3rd to 4th weekend.
    • 1-week unit orientation included.
    • EMR System: Epic.
    • Charting System: EPIC.
    • The role involves scrub duties in a Level 1 trauma setting with multiple specialty cases each day.
