Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in the MS (Medical Surgical) specialty at a healthcare provider in the region. This role involves providing acute care to pediatric patients aged 0-22 in a Primary Care Pediatrics unit, focusing on diagnoses such as asthma and well-child visits, with an emphasis on vaccine administration. The position requires flexibility with shifts and the ability to float to associated pediatrics units if necessary.

Job Details

  • Position Description: HWL Requisition: CHA Cambridge Hospital-NANC-0831. Will accept locals shift schedule includes four 8-hour shifts one week and five 8-hour shifts the following week, totaling 36 hours every two weeks. Day shifts with varied start times. No holidays, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS); pediatric experience with at least 2 years of acute care; valid driver's license with address matching demographics; active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license verified within the last week via NURSYS report; minimum 2 years of pediatric experience; experience with EMR preferred (EPIC).
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum 32 hours per week, starting on 11/03/2026 and ending on 01/30/2027.
  • Additional Information: This role requires vaccine administration competence, flu vaccination during the season, and the ability to handle pediatric and adolescent patients. Candidates must have recent manager or supervisor references matching the specialty, skills checklist validation, and be prepared for floating to pediatrics as needed.
