Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse Sunrise, Nevada
This position involves providing specialized nursing care for complex cardiovascular procedures in an operating room setting. The role requires experienced professionals who can handle intricate surgeries such as bypass, ECMO, and congenital CV procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details

Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) national certification with at least 2 years of experience in cardiovascular OR, including first and second scrub roles.
Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 11/09/2026 and ending 02/08/2027.
Responsibilities include assisting with complex CVOR surgeries such as CABG, carotid endarterectomy, structural heart repairs, and congenital defect repairs (VSD, PFO).
Experience with complicated and complex CVOR cases is essential.
The candidate must have active CVOR experience, including bypass and ECMO procedures.
The role involves on-call shifts rotated among staff, with approximately 3 on-call shifts per week and 2 on-call weekends per month.
Candidates without relevant CVOR experience will not be considered.
The ideal candidate is tough, strong-willed, and resilient to the demands of the role.
Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with advanced equipment such as O-ARM and microscopy systems.
