ICU Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit at a healthcare facility in Philadelphia, PA. This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients in various ICU settings, including step-down units, IMCU, and the Emergency Department, with orientation provided for specific units. The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of licensed physicians.

Job Details

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required). Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
• Certifications: PA Registered Nurse License (Required), Basic Life Support (Required), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Required), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (Required), Trauma Nursing Core Course (Preferred).
• Experience: 2 years of nursing experience with 1 year in ICU. Minimum experience: 0 years.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibility for float: Float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders; may receive orientation for float to Womens and Family units, where applicable.
• Clinical responsibilities include assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with patients and healthcare team members, directing nursing support staff, and ensuring patient safety and standards of care.
• RNs are normally assigned 24 hours in advance to any unit/hospital; however, they can be pulled mid-shift to float to any unit or hospital.
• RTO expectations: No more than 5 days, if 5 days in a row, can add a week to the back end.
• Holidays: Travelers do not work on holidays but are expected to work days surrounding 1-2 holidays.
• Position start date is 11/09/2026, with an end date of 02/06/2027.
