Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician in Los Angeles This position involves processing and sterilizing surgical and hospital instruments and equipment. The role includes assembly of surgical instrument sets and trays, and distribution of patient care supplies and equipment, supporting the clinical operations of the healthcare provider.
Job Details
- Position Description: Processes and sterilizes surgical and hospital instruments and equipment. Assembles surgical instrument sets and trays. Distributes patient care supplies and equipment.
- Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; Sterile Processing Technician certification; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Decontaminates and processes instruments, maintains a clean environment in the department, calibrates sterilizing equipment, assists with room turnover and cleaning, performs daily diagnostic testing on sterilizing equipment, evaluates instruments for safety and function, maintains logs and evaluations for loaner instruments and biological testing. Works under supervision and performs other related duties as assigned.
