Job Summary
Radiology Specialty Nurse in the Radiology Department The organization is seeking a registered nurse to join the radiology department. The role involves delivering safe, competent patient care based on nursing theory and research, focusing on patient education, safety, and clinical procedures within a hospital radiology setting.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, Experience, and Location Requirements: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License; BLS, ACLS certifications; minimum of 2 years of ambulatory outpatient and radiation safety experience; at least 2 years of RN experience. Must be licensed and actively practicing nursing with relevant clinical experience.
• Work Schedule: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM shift; 37.5 hours per week.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered care through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with healthcare team members. Educate patients and caregivers about care plans, transition, and health promotion. Conduct purposeful hourly rounding and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
• Operational Responsibilities: Perform charge nurse duties, ensure appropriate supply utilization, document thoroughly in compliance with standards, and facilitate patient throughput.
• Professional Development: Contribute to a supportive environment, advance clinical skills, participate in shared decision-making, and uphold ethical principles.
• Additional Requirements: Experience with outpatient care, radiation safety, EPIC electronic health record system, and coaching is preferred.
• Experience: No minimum years of experience specified, but at least 2 years of RN experience and related outpatient/radiation safety is required.
