Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) RN in the Neuro unit located in an unspecified location. This role involves caring for patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, strokes, amputees, burns, pediatric and multi-trauma cases, pneumonia, tunneled catheters, and post-craniectomy shunt patients. The RN will provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to established protocols and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

- Position Description:
The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to neurotrauma and complex medical-surgical patients, including Trach care, ventilator management, IV management, PICC lines, central lines, wound care, bowel programs, TPN, drains/tubes, pulmonary patients with trachs, laryngectomies, G-tube/Peg-tube feeds, and VADs. - Required Qualifications:
State RN licensure, BLS certification, NIHSS certification, minimum of 1 year of RN experience with at least 6 months in neuro nursing, valid license to practice in the current location. - Schedule:
12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling a minimum of 36 hours per week. - Additional Information:
Orientation includes online modules, NVCI in-person training, and unit-specific in-person orientation. The unit operates on a six-week schedule, with every third weekend rotation, and may require holiday work. No on-call duties are expected. Staff may float within scope of practice, primarily within the float pool. Scrub color is Galaxy Blue. Free parking and badge access parking garage available. The unit provides a supportive environment with the same standards as regular staff, and travelers do not care for pediatric patients.
