Job Summary

Operating Room, Plantation, FL. This position provides comprehensive perioperative care across multiple surgical service lines, including orthopedic, spine, joint replacement, urology, vascular, thoracic, and plastic surgery. The role requires a dedicated clinical professional with strong assessment, critical-thinking, documentation, and patient-care skills who can function as both a scrub and circulator.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Two years of current acute Operating Room experience
  • Orthopedic, spine, and joint replacement experience, including knee and hip replacement procedures
  • Ability to function as both a scrub and circulator across all service lines
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification, and charge experience.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care. Typical procedures include joint replacement, ear, nose, and throat surgery, orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery. On-call coverage is required for 12 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift during each 4-week period. Rotating weekends may be required. Scrubs are provided.
