Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry, St. Louis, MO. The position provides direct patient care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during night shifts. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and coordination with ancillary departments to support patient care and comfort.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Current registered nurse license meeting Missouri licensure eligibility or an active Missouri registered nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; at least 2 years of telemetry experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other full weekend is expected, and availability to work at least one major winter holiday may be required. Night-shift orientation occurs during the day, and availability for the full orientation week is required.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: Provides direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates care with ancillary departments and works within the scope of nursing preparation and applicable nursing practice standards. Typical patient assignments are approximately 46 patients, and the unit includes a balanced mix of medical and telemetry patients.
