Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. The Registered Nurse provides quality patient care through assessment, individualized care planning, implementation, evaluation, education, and discharge planning. The role also supervises ancillary nursing personnel and promotes patient safety, continuity of care, and effective interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to the first shift; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to the first shift for applicable assignments; minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with the organization preferred.
• Responsibilities: Complete nursing assessments within eight hours of admission; develop and implement individualized plans of care; document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly; participate in rehabilitation programming; provide patient and family education; initiate discharge planning upon admission; communicate changes in patient status to the care team; delegate appropriately; supervise, train, and direct ancillary nursing personnel; promote personal and environmental safety; support team collaboration; manage supplies and equipment needs; assume charge responsibilities following orientation when requested; and pursue ongoing professional development.
